TWO Nuneaton pensioners had their handbags stolen after being knocked to the ground within minutes of each other in the town yesterday.

Four elderly women have now been mugged in Nuneaton in the last 48 hours.

The latest attacks involved a 70-year-old woman near Lexington Court, Abbey Street and a a 65-year-old woman in Heath End Road.

Neither of the pensioners was hurt but both were badly shaken.
